The narrow plan is “wrapped” around a west facing courtyard creating the intimate indoor / outdoor relationship desired by the client. The house steps in section with the contours of the site. The two resulting levels within divide the house into an open plan living area on the upper level and more private sleeping rooms on the lower. A timber and glass link between the two zones enhances the outdoor experience.
